Inspection Process

Call 765-662-9931 to schedule inspections between 8 AM - 4 PM, Monday-Friday. 24-hour advance notice required. Contractor and/or property owner must be present during inspection. Missed inspection fee is $60. Required stages include footers, foundations, rough-in work (framing, plumbing, heating, electrical), roofing, electrical upgrades, window/door changes, and final inspection.

Building Commissioner Jerry Foustnight. Online permits available through iWorQ portal. Contractor registration required for all contractors working within city limits. Additions and new construction require an Improvement Location Permit from the Planning Department before obtaining a building permit. Commercial signs require a separate Sign Permit.
